I have engineered floors can they be refinished?

The short answer is yes, as long as your engineered floors have more than 2 millimeters on the surface.

Can my floors be darker or lighter?

Yes, you can change the color of your floors and the only way is to refinish (sand) them.

Can old hardwood floors be refinished?

Yes

How many times can my hardwood floors be refinished?

Wood floors are lifetime and they can be sanded up to 9 times. Hardwood floors are really an investment in your house.

Is oil base more durable than water base?

While in Texas oil base is more commonly used, water base is as durable as an oil base.

Can hardwood floors be installed over concrete?

No, hardwood can not be installed directly over slab concrete. Tar and screeds have to be used. Or you can install engineered flooring which is made to be glued down over concrete.
